Lori Wilde Delivers an Entertaining Day at the

Writers' Bloc Writing Down the Brazos Workshop

Thanks to Lori Wilde for sharing her vast knowledge with the Writers’ Bloc of Granbury and their guests at the annual Writing Down the Brazos Workshop on May 18. Lori is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of over 60 romance novels, a two-time RITA award nominee, a four time Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice nominee and has won numerous other awards.

In addition to her writing tips for creating successful commercial fiction, Lori answered numerous questions on the whys and wherefores of traditional publishing versus e-publishing.

Lori came prepared with a complimentary workbook with pen and paper along with notes on Ten Tips for Immediate Fiction, Three Levels of Story Emotion, a Scene Layering Worksheet, and An Emotional Thesaurus. She also gave away away about 40 of her many books to attendees.

According to our President Peggy Freeman, Lori wouldn’t accept her check as payent for doing the workshop. Peggy is hoping to use the funds in some way to benefit Lori and the community.
